The United States will impose tariffs on Chinese imports of $16 billion from August 23.
The US Trade Representative Office announced new tariff measures in an e-mailed statement on Tuesday, which included 279 tariff lines, down from the 284 originally proposed. The new tariff list includes products such as motorcycles, steam turbines and rail locomotives.The Sino-US trade war will be further upgraded.
This is the second time since July that the United States has adopted tariff measures on Chinese imports.The Chinese government has vowed to take a counterattack against the US tariff measures on China's $16 billion in goods.
